Our Story

Hi there! I'm Tracy, a second-generation cut flower grower and dahlia enthusiast from Durango, Iowa. Let me take you on a journey through my love for dahlias and the magical experience of growing them in the Midwest.

For many years, I've been cultivating dahlias, but it wasn't until a few years ago that they became my absolute favorite flowers. It all started when I stumbled across a picture of the most incredible dahlia I had ever seen. I was instantly captivated. Since then, my collection has grown to include over 400 unique cultivars. Each dahlia has its own unique charm, making my garden a vibrant tapestry of colors, shapes, and sizes.

Growing dahlias in the Midwest comes with its challenges and rewards. Our farm is nestled among the rolling hills and limestone cliffs of the Mississippi River valley in eastern Iowa. This area is home to many whitetail deer, many of which are piebald. Their coats range from dappled to cream to nearly pure white. Seeing them is breathtaking, and a reminder of what a special place this part of the world is.

At White Fawn Farm, we understand the joy and fulfillment that comes from nurturing young plants and watching them flourish. That's why we take great pride in offering high-quality tubers and rooted cuttings of our beloved dahlias.

So come and join us in discovering the magic of dahlias. Explore our collection, find the perfect dahlia for your garden, and experience the joy of growing these enchanting flowers. Let's create a world filled with beauty, one dahlia at a time.
